ZMC Hotels, LLC, on behalf of Boca Chica Builders, LLC, has secured the franchise licenses to develop and build at 120-room Hyatt Studios Brownsville/Boca Chica and a 125-room Courtyard by Marriott Brownsville/Boca Chica in Brownsville, Texas. Located on the corner of Boca Chica Boulevard and Galonsky Street, these hotels will be two of the closest hotels to SpaceX’s Starbase City.
Currently, ZMC Hotels’ Construction & Design team is wrapping up architectural and design of the hotels to meet all city codes and requirements. Financing for the project is in progress. The Hyatt Studios and Courtyard by Marriott will have rooms and suites with views of rocket launches by SpaceX. The Courtyard by Marriott will feature a range of amenities, including meeting space, a full restaurant, bar, and outdoor patio, catering to both hotel guests and the local community. A launch viewing suite with a rooftop patio will be a unique highlight of the Courtyard, offering an unforgettable experience for SpaceX rocket launch enthusiasts. Both hotels will share access to resort-style outdoor pool and patio spaces, complete with games like cornhole, perfect for relaxation and entertainment.
Groundbreaking is expected to be late February 2026. The hotels will be built simultaneously and are expected to open mid-2027.
