ZMC Hotels, LLC was selected to manage The Westin Great Southern Columbus, Ohio. This addition will bring ZMC Hotels’ portfolio to 56 hotels under management.

The Westin opened in 1897 as the Great Southern Fireproof Hotel and Opera House near the German Village and Brewery District in Columbus. The Westin is part of the Marriott brand and has 189 rooms, offering a blend of historic elegance and modern comfort. The hotel is just a few blocks off Hwy 70/71 in the heart of downtown Columbus. Guests can enjoy on-site dining at Bar Cicchetti, a rustically refined Italian eatery offering seasonally inspired dishes. The hotel also features the Grand Ballroom, acclaimed as a premier event venue in Columbus, suitable for various events and gatherings.

“We’re excited to add this historic full-service hotel to the portfolio, making it our third hotel in Ohio,” said John Henry, President & CEO of ZMC Hotels. “Adding The Westin to our existing Columbus market will enable both hotels to leverage synergies and efficiencies to enhance operating performance.”

Jay Batra, representing the ownership of the hotel, stated, “We are happy to be partnering with ZMC Hotels on our full-service hotel and look forward to working with their team.”

The Westin Great Southern Columbus will be overseen by Chris Johnson, Vice President of Operations.
