Groundbreaking event commences renovation for Hampton Inn Scottsdale/Shea

Hall Equities Group, ZMC Hotels, and W.E O’Neil celebrated a groundbreaking event in Scottsdale, Arizona at the Hampton Inn Scottsdale/Shea. This hotel will be closed for a complete renovation which will significantly upgrade the property with additional rooms and an exceptional pool and outdoor area. The hotel is anticipated to reopen as a Hampton Inn and Suites in late 2017. W.E. O’Neil, the original developer of the hotel, has been appointed as the General Contractor for the renovation.

The City of Scottsdale Mayor, Jim Lane, kicked off the event and spoke about the city’s booming tourist industry with over 9 million visitors per year, and applauded ZMC Hotels’ continued contribution at making the city a great place to stay. Key members of the Hall Equities Group and W.E. O’Neil teams were in attendance, and many had the opportunity to take a swing at the building with a sledgehammer to officially get work under way.

Hampton Inn Lake Havasu City Arizona Major Renovation

The Hampton Inn in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, recently completed a major renovation at the hotel.  To meet the needs of our guests, the hotel upgraded the lobby and breakfast area with the Hampton Perfect Mix Lobby.  The new seating arrangement allows for groups large and small to enjoy their breakfast together as well as an easy flow to various food stations.

ZMC Hotels Works With City of Superior to Build a Hotel in Superior, Wisconsin

ZMC Hotels is working with the City of Superior Redevelopment Authority to put plans in motion to build a new 80-room Hampton Inn & Suites in Superior, Wisconsin at a cost of about $9 million. Construction is likely to start late this summer with an opening late spring 2015 and in time for Grandma’s Marathon.

TripAdvisor GreenLeader Hotel

TripAdvisor® has awarded the Hampton Inn & Suites in Scottsdale, Arizona, GreenLeader status.  Receiving this status award means the Hampton Inn & Suites has met a set of environmental standards developed for TripAdvisor.  Travelers can search these special GreenLeader hotels and find all the environmentally friendly practices that can be expected at each location.

The GreenLeaders program was created in partnership with the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star program and well as with the U.S. Green Building Council and the United Nations Environmental Program.

ZMC and its hotels are always striving towards more green solutions.  We are very proud of the Hampton Inn & Suites for achieving GreenLeader status with TripAdvisor.

Plans to build a new Hampton Inn & Suites in Hibbing, MN

ZMC Hotels Plans to build new Hampton Inn & Suites in Hibbing, MNZMC Hotels is working on expanding its hotel portfolio.  Plans are in motion to build a new Hampton Inn & Suites in Hibbing, Minnesota.  The hotel is projected to have 80 rooms and three floors.  We anticipate construction to start next May with an opening in 2015.

Hibbing is a town of 17,000 located about 75 miles northwest of Duluth in an area known as the Iron Range for its extensive iron ore mines.  ZMC envisions this new hotel will be the crown jewel of hotels on the Iron Range.

Hibbing is known as the Iron Capital of the World and has the largest open pit iron ore mine.  It is the home of the Greyhound Bus Museum, and more exciting, the Bob Dylan Collection and Exhibit.  Along with Bob Dylan, Hibbing is the former home to retired NBA player Kevin McHale, attorney Vincent Bugliosi who prosecuted Charles Manson, former baseball player Roger Maris, Gary Puckett of the Union Gap, and international businessman and philanthropist Jeno Paulucci.

 

ZMC Hotels is working with the land owner in Hibbing along with the Hibbing City Council and the Hibbing Economic Development Authority.
